IAEA decides to implement Continuing Professional Development (“the CPD”) scheme to motivate the registered Senior Professionals to keep on enriching their professional knowledge and other relevant skills for future development. IAEA aims at implementing this mandatory scheme, under which compliance with CPD requirements will be the prerequisite to the renewal of upcoming accreditation as Senior Professional. This CPD scheme is first launched with effect from 1 Oct 2019. Following the completion of the first year of accreditation, the IAEA professional / senior professional has to complete a required CPD hours to satisfy the minimum requirement of accreditation renewal.
